THE YTF Super Saturday
The Yeppoon Triathlon Festival is excited to announce a partnership with the Fitzroy Frogs Triathlon Club in running all of it’s Super Saturday events.
From the Junior Duathlon and Corporate Duathlon to the Kids Aquathlon there’s something for every age group from 3 years and up. For kids aged 10-11 the Aquathlon is also a Capricornia School Sports Qualifying Race.
Event organiser Glenn Skinner said ‘We are thrilled that the Triathlon Club wants to be more involved in the organisation and the running of the junior events. This fits really well with the new direction the club is taking towards developing the sport for all people interested in multisport.’
‘Both the Junior and Corporate Duathlons will be fun affairs seeing competitors using the closed off Anzac Parade. Families with young children are invited to assist their little ones if preferred and the corporates are encouraged to come in their business uniforms, fancy dress or have mascots’ said Glenn.
Craig McCormack, the Fitzroy Frogs president said ‘We as a club are excited to be able to pair up with the major event in the region to put on a day of kids events.’ With Ironman commentator Pete Murray, plus many volunteers, it promises to be a great day of racing for kids of all ages and abilities.
