Team LSC Xpress back to defend their title

Jared Thomsen and his sprint team knows what it takes to compete and win in a triathlon and will be back in 2016 to defend their title in the YTF Corporate Sprint Distance Triathlon.
The team known as LSC Xpress, who represents the Livingstone Shire Council, is made up of Captain Jared Thomsen along with team and work mates Maddie Grigan and Paolo Santini.
‘Participating in the Yeppoon Triathlon Festival was thoroughly enjoyable! Getting out of the office and competing in this team event with workmates has helped to build stronger working relationships and strengthened camaraderie across the organisation. LSC Xpress will definitely be back in 2016 to defend its title!’, said Jared.
This year the Corporate Challenge will be held during the Festival’s feature race day on Sunday 7th of August and will see teams compete for glory and their chance to win the Yeppoon Triathlon Festival Teams Corporate Challenge Cup.
At last years inaugural event the Corporate Challenge was attended by teams from a wide range of workplaces and occupations including; the Rock Essentials, representing the Rock Bank; the fantastically named teams SSP Thunder and SSP Lightning from accounting firm Shanahan Swaffield Partners; the Jellin Bros representing Jellinbah Coal; the MI Cockroaches and MI Bears made up of the sporty crew from Movement Improvement; and also teams from Roth Plumbing, Hillcrest Hospital, Amanda Jane Squared, Alpal and CQ Nutrition.
The YTF Corporate Challenge is not only a spotlight on the energy and drive fuelling local businesses but a fantastic team building exercise where the heavy load of a triathlon can be shared amongst friends and further supported by their colleagues as spectators.
The Yeppoon Triathlon Festival are proud supporters and advocates of all local businesses and we encourage them all to enter and get behind their teams.
Every Corporate Team that enters will receive a Competitor Pack which contains some handy things to use during the festival and beyond along with three tickets to the Pre-Race Carb Loading Dinner, a social media welcome and a large company branded sign near the finishing line.
