The YTF 5km Fun Run

Calling all participants for this year’s YTF 5km Fun Run, a day of fun, fitness and fundraising.

Last year the Fun Run raised $3,000 for the well deserving RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service and this year we want to push that even higher to help support the valuable service they offer to everyone in our region.

YTF event organiser Glenn Skinner said that the Fun Run is open to everyone and anyone and that singles, couples and the whole family, young and old, are invited to be involved.

“Everyone had such a great time last year and there was lots of huge smiles and high fives as people crossed the finish line” said Glenn.

“We were really happy to see so many people turn out and support the RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service too. I think the oldest person on the day was 68 and the youngest 9 months old who was being pushed along by her mum in a stroller.”

“The course is one of the most picturesque with fantastic views out to the Keppels and is very flat and safe too.”

“This year the event will be timed by the guys from The Timing Wizards so everyone will know how well they went”.

Registrations are open online now at yeppoontriathlonfestival.com.au for this year’s Fun Run and are also available on the day at the foreshore from 8:00-2:30pm.

The cost to enter is $15 for individuals and families are only $25 with all proceeds going to the RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service.

“Our principal sponsor DC Motors Renault partly came on board to help drive the festival because of the work we do to promote our local charities, which is wonderful” said Glenn. “They’re also right behind us for the focus the whole festival brings to the region, which they feel very strongly about too.”
